Zoological park and animal refuge in Breña Alta, with birds, primates and reptiles amid greenery.

Exotic animal rescue centre and zoo in Breña Alta (La Palma), registered as a CITES centre (ES022) by Spain's Ministry for Ecological Transition. Across more than 7,000 m² it houses rescued, seized and abandoned exotic animals (kangaroos, Nile crocodiles, meerkats, capuchin monkeys, birds of prey, macaws, iguanas, snakes and tortoises, among others) in walk-through aviaries. It operates as a foundation devoted to animal welfare, education, research and the conservation of endangered species, with an animal sponsorship programme and an environmental classroom. It has been running for around 20 years and works with the Cabildo of La Palma and Seprona.
